The Power of the Yin Oracle Deck

A bit of a delay . . .

Hello Dear Backers,

I have several things to share with you, but the first thing I want to let you know is that there will be a delay in our timeline of about two weeks.  Dang it!

The reason for this is that our beautiful full-color booklet will need to be hand folded for each of the 500 decks.  My printer here in the UK unfortunately sent me an outdated schematic that our entire design was based on.  Bless them, they have taken full responsibility and will be custom-folding the booklet.  I hope they are going to have a pizza party so this task is fun for them!

This, in combination with two bank holidays (something about a "coronation"???) sets our schedule back by two weeks.  

Then how will the schedule flow?  Once the deck is printed, it will ship within the UK for UK and EU fulfillment.  This should happen pretty quickly.  But it will also be shipping to the US for US and Canada fulfillment.  This may add another 10 days or so.  THEN THEY WILL SHIP TO YOU!

Of course I will keep you updated every step of the way.

Deck Launch here in London!

The printer did push through to get me 25 decks for my deck launch party here in London yesterday.  I partnered with Miranda of Wootique London and their social event in Shoreditch.  I also led a 30 minute workshop with the deck.  It was truly amazing to see the cards folks pulled, and how they spoke so specifically to them.   It was fun for me to be in a room full of seasoned card readers and hear how they responded.  Everyone agreed this deck was "very direct." Others commented on the softness of the deck, its earthiness and its healing quality.  And of course the artwork!  People also noted that the text is "quite deep, isn't it?" (Add an English accent here.)  And of course many spoke about connecting with the feminine, including the ways in which this can feel daunting and even scary.

One of the intentions of the deck is to ease those fears, and to be an invitation to embody and partner with this power by finding your very personal expression of the Yin.  This power is your power.

I was delighted that the first deck of the day was purchased not by a tarot aficionado, but by one of the owners of the venue where we had the party!

I wonder who else's hands this deck will find its way into! (Notwithstanding the awkwardness of that sentence!)

Orders are locking! (What does that mean??)

Dearest Backers,

You should now have an email in your inbox letting you know that your order is "locking" in 48 hours.  

What that means: This is your opportunity to make any changes to your order, including adding on more items (yes please!), updating your shipping address and adding or updating your credit card number.

In two days: I'll be charging you for any remaining balances--notably shipping and VAT, if applicable.

I have been very granular about shipping costs--breaking out regions and states individually, rather than coming up with an average cost.  I know for myself, I'm a little shocked at shipping rates, so I really wanted to save you money on this wherever I could. The shipping rate you see includes the packaging and handling of your shipping package as well.  

If anything seems way off, please let me know.  I certainly may have missed something, And also Mercury is in retrograde (YIKES!).

Thank you for being by my side through this whole process.  I think you all will be very pleased with the deck you receive: the cardstock is substantial and silky, the colors are lustrous, and the beings of this deck are just jumping off the cards eager to provide their guidance and support!  They certainly are helping me every step of the way.

Among many things, the Yin teaches us patience.

And then she really delivers!

Beloved Backers, this is the proof deck that I now have in my hands.  With just a few updates and modifications, we are going into full production print within the next week (or sooner!).

What you see here is all 58 cards, the box, and the booklet.  Aren't they beautiful?!

Please update your current shipping information, any last adjustments or additions to your pledges or pre-orders, and your credit card information in BackerKit. You can do this here.

I'll be adding shipping and, if applicable, VAT charges to your order.

Then you'll receive a 48-hour notice that I'll be charging your card for any outstanding costs (if you paid for your pledge on KS, then you'll only be charged for extras and shipping.)

Notes about VAT charges

If you are in the UK or the EU, I will be charging you the specific VAT rate for your country in BackerKit.

If you are outside these areas, you will be paying VAT when you receive your package.  

If you are in the US, there is no VAT!

This is the first of several exciting updates that are going to be coming your way over the next few weeks.  So stay tuned!

Tomorrow I am teaching an online workshop for the Tarot Association of the British Isles.  It's for two hours from 2-4pm GMT / 10am-noon US-ET.

Here's why I'm excited about it: I have gone back to the very beginning of this journey, collecting images, stories, and the cards themselves into a beautiful, interactive, multi-media presentation with four parts:

• The creation and collaboration journey of the deck
• The business of creating the deck (great for folks thinking about creating their own indie deck, or just wanting to see behind-the-scenes)
• The journey of the deck itself: Understanding the sets and what they mean for the Power of the Yin
• How to work with the deck: Working with cards that are personally resonant with you, I will lead an embodied practice and in-depth exploration into the messages the cards have for YOU. You can then take this process back to your clients, and your own life.

Launch Party Live in London!

I'm so excited to be partnering with The Wootique London for a LIVE, IN PERSON launch party for my Power of the Yin Oracle Deck!

The launch will be part of the Wootique's Social on April 28 in Shoreditch - and you're invited! Come and join us for tarot and tea, and the special launch of the Power of the Yin Oracle deck on Saturday 29th April from 2pm in Shoreditch, London. Tickets are £20 and include a goodie bag, a yummy drink, discounts and more.  There will be tarot readings and talks available or you can just hang out with like-minded souls for a chat. The Wootique will be there with wonderful indie tarot and oracle decks, candles, journals, crystal soaps and more. 

Included in the ticket price is my 30-minute workshop on the deck called "The Power of Your Yin."

How do you work with a deck that was created as a guide to a mysterious, subtle and ineffable energy? This interactive workshop will take you deeper into the meaning of this new deck, and show you how to incorporate it into your life as a wise guide for healing, wholeness and empowerment.

When will I get my deck, Daven?

If we're having a launch party on April 28, that means the deck will be printed by then!  So when will you be getting your deck?  If you're in N. America, there will be a bit of lag time as I ship the decks over to the US, and then they will be shipped locally to you from there.  I will keep you up-to-date on this.  

If you are in the UK, EU and other parts of the world, I'll be shipping from here in the UK.

Either way, our original date still stands: May 2023.  Fast approaching!
